Through a generous grant from the Neil and Louise Tillotson Fund and support by the Northern Forest Center, the Town of Lancaster is creating a program to inform the community on the benefits of making their homes more energy efficient and the resources to assist them. As an initial step to gauge the community's knowledge of energy efficiency and the level of their homes' efficiency we have developed a short survey.
Over the next two years of the program we hope to not only increase the awareness of the benefits of making homes more energy efficient but also facilitate the completion of home energy audits, efficiency upgrades and wood pellet boiler installations in homes around town. A final survey will be redistributed with the hope of an increase in respondents knowledge and utilization of home energy efficiency upgrades.
