We are doing the Merchant Scavenger Hunt again this year with two prizes available. Kilkenny Building Center has generously offered to host this event so when you get your cards all punched be sure to take it over for your chance to win an Infrared Heater donated by Kilkenny, or a 12x15, in-stock, carpet to be installed, donated by Jackie at The Carpet Barn! Papers can be picked up at one of the 14 participating merchants; their doors will be marked with a bright orange Christmas Ball!
Has your child, age 12 and under, colored the coloring page that can be found in last week’s issue of the Great North Woods Journal? Don’t fret, you can also pick up one of these pages at Main Street Music, New To You Consignments or Riff Flower Shop…there are three age groups and the pages must be turned into Cindy at the Woodsville Guaranty Bank in Shaw’s by November 24th. The pages will all be displayed at the Town Hall where
you can find out if your child has won!
New this year the Lancaster Fire Department will have a warming fire near the Welcome Center and the
Explorers will be selling goodies to help support their group.
Visit the shops at the other end of Main Street too! Some will be open, like Verizon Wireless…go visit their new store and take a chance at their drawing. Go downstairs at the Town Hall and visit H.T.C and Joyce Bernie for a chance at her drawing and upstairs at the Town Hall to visit the Mason’s open house, Visit Puleo’s on the deck, have some Apple crisp at the Passumpsic Bank, stop by North Country Ford…visit our Main Street Shops for special deals and goodies as well.....stop and take a minute to say hi and thank the Holiday Carolers’ for their cheery singing, you may even recognize some of them! And don’t forget to stop by the Library to see the gingerbread houses on display…and eat, support the local Lion’s Club, the Heart and Sole Mates, and the food vendors at Town Hall.
Lastly, stop at the Welcome Center and check out our Sponsors, without them, this event would not happen, Come out, eat, visit with friends, shop and enjoy what we have set up for you all the while keeping Lancaster’s Main Street alive.
